Fast Cars Birthday Party

My Son turned 3 a couple week ago!  I cannot believe how fast he is growing up!  He LOVES the Disney Cars movie... he calls it "Fast Cars"  so when we were talking about party ideas for him, he said "Mommy, I want to have a Fast Cars party"
Ok Lighting McQueen and Mater it is!

Here is the invite that I sent out.  I made it using Picnik (I added the Lighting McQueen and Mater using Photoshop).  I just had it printed off as a 4X6 photo and mailed that out.  It cost me 9 cents an invite (I order them from Snapfish)... Just the right price

I appliqued Fast Car's Characters on t-shirts for the whole family to wear.  I also added the 3 to the birthday boy's shirt.  This is a Lighting McQueen Patch that I found at Joann's.

For the rest of the family I used a Fast Cars fabric I found at Joann's and cut out the characters.  I let my Son pick who he wanted each person to be.
Mommy- the Blue Car (The king)
Baby Sister- Mater
Daddy- The Sheriff
(This pic was taken after the party - Big boy is sick of pictures, baby girl is fast asleep and Mommy is happy the party is over!)

Here is the food counter.  Flo's V8 Cafe.  I got my party supplies from the Party Store.  We ate pizza and fruit salad.

I opted for cupcakes from the store with Fast Cars toppers.  I just did not have time to make a cool cake.

I made a custom Fast Cars platter by using a Christmas platter and covering it with Fast Cars contact paper I found  at the dollar store!

For drinks: we had water at Filmore's Organic Fuel Stop.

Here are some of the activities I had for the kids to do:

Ramone's Coloring Shop.
I printed out Fast Cars Color sheets from the Internet and set up a table for kids to color.

Here are my Nephews coloring.  Too cute!

We got our son a small Race Track as part of his B-day gift.  We set it up for the party to have some races.

My Adorable nephew!

Mater Tractor Tipping Game:
Here is a game that my hubby and I created.  My son's favorite part of the movie is the tractor tipping... don't ask me why!
I printed out 8 tractors (I found the pic online) and taped a circle I cut off of a paper towel roll to the back to help them stand up.

You use your party blower to see how many tractors you can tip over.  I let the kids have 3 tries.
They really liked it!

We sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candle!

At the end of the party we had a viewing of the Disney Cars Movie.   Everyone watch happily as they ate their suckers!

Everyone got a goodie bag.
I filled it with a glow toy (found at the Dollar Tree) car stickers, Mater Fruit snacks. Cars temp. Tattoos.  I printed a Car pic from Online and added their name to brown lunch bag.

Here is the "Thank you" card I designed with Picnik.  I am going to print it as a photo and glue it to card stock.

Ok- now if my son can stop growing up so fast... that would be good! :)

Buying this item at Cars Party Supplies was great. It saved me so much time trying to find matching supplies in the store.
