This is a sponsored post for JournalWay, all opinions are 100% mine.

If you are like me, you have a lot of digital pictures of your kids and family... I mean I have a bunch on my phone, on my camera memory card, and on my computer.  Some times the pictures end up on my family blog but mostly they stay digital... and that is not right!

That is what I am excited to introduce you to JournalWays!  It is a great way to get your pictures off your phone, camera, and computer and printed for all to see!  And it is also a great way to record life, journal about everyday things to remember for always!

Because JournalWays works on your iPhone and computer.  You can take pictures on your iPhone and create a page for your book on your iPhone, or use your computer.

In a nutshell, the JournalWays app allows you to pair up to four photos with 700 characters of text in entries from your iPhone or iPad.  The books are created through JournalWays by choosing pre-made template designs that look like real scrapbook pages.

And JournalWays has video tutorials to help you know how everything works.  It is easy to navigate the site and the tutorials make it even easier!

I was able to create and sample a photo book.  The one I made was able to cover a year of our life and the kids LOVE looking through it!

It is amazing how much the kids change in a year (especially when they are little) and now I have this fun book to remember it all!  You have a choice between hardcover or soft cover (right now the hardcover are half off!)  The book I got was high quality and we love it!

It is just so great that you can record journal entries along the way and then use them to publish a book when you are ready.  Creating the book in bits and pieces is very doable.  JournalWays saves all your entries for when you are ready to use them.

Here a few of my pages for you to see:

The JournalWays team is very open to feedback too so if you don't see what you want they are willing work with you!  They are adding new templates all time!

Easy Glitter Smile Frame (Tutorial)

Thank you to Silhouette for providing me with the materials for this project
I have discovered double-sided adhesive!  And I am in LOVE!  I got the Starter Kit from Silhouette (30% off all supplies going on now- use code: FIREFLIES!)
It makes it so easy to make projects with glitter and get crisp lines.

Here is how you make it:
1. Pick out your shape or words on your silhouette software and send it to the Silhouette following the directions that come with the double-sided adhesive.  You want the white side up when you load it into your machine.
2. Weed out your shapes and peel off the yellow side leaving the adhesive on the white part.
3. Place on your frame, and peel off the white paper
4. Spread glitter over the shapes and wipe off the excess.  The brush really helped get the glitter  over the letters really nicely.
Your done!

6 ways for Mom's to take time for yourself this Summer {#StreamTeam}

Thank you to Netflix for Sponsoring this post

Summer is here and that means sunny days!  But it also means that all of my kids are home all day.  It is enough to drive me crazy if I do not take the time for myself.  Just little pieces of the day or night to pamper myself.

Here are 6 ways that I am taking time for myself this summer

1. Taking a bath
After the kids go to bed I take a bath.  After a long day of "Mommy, what are we going to do now?"  It is nice to sit and soak in the tub, and shave my legs in peace.

2. Get a little treat.
Sometime all I need is a little sugar to sweeten myself up!  I have a favorite place to drive through and get a smoothie.  So, if I am running errands with the kids sometime my only "me" time is in the car with kids strapped in sipping my smoothie.

3. Swap night with Dad to take a night off of bed time.
My Hubby and I each get a night off a week to go out and skip bedtime.  It is nice to just leave after dinner and come home after the kids are already sleeping.  I usually go to a women's bible study but I have also gone to a coffee shop or shopping by myself too.

4. Work out
I have membership to our local YMCA.  They have free childcare for members for up to 2 hours a day.  I go and drop off the kids and work out.  It is a win win.  I get a break from the kids and also get to energize myself with exercise!

5. Quiet time for the kids.
We all need a break from each other during the day.  The kids need a little structured down time.  I have my kids either take a nap (for the younger 2) or for the older one, take what I like to call a "movie nap"  We have rules that they have to stay seated and quiet during the movie.  They can only get up to go to the bathroom.  Some times I have my son read books but that is usually a shorter quiet time.  During this time I can get some stuff done around the house and marking things off my to-do list is therapeutic too

6. Watch grown-up shows on Netflix.

And by grown-up I mean not a cartoon.  After taking care of the kids all day and watching all their shows it is time for some adult conversation... even if it is on TV.  My current guilty pleasure right now is Charmed... totally cheesy but it reminds me of my youth so it is fun!

How do you keep sane during the summer with your kids?

Silhouette June Promo - A deal you cannot miss!

I love my Sihouette Cameo... I loved my Silhouette SD before's basically a silhouette love affair over here.

Here are some of my favorite projects that I had made with my Silhouette:

Heat Transfer Vinyl is my favorite thing to use and I have made so many personalized clothes for my kids and friends!

But it also amazing to use for gift wrap too:
{here i used the washi tape sheet}

It is great for making cards:
{Here are my personalized thank you cards using the sketch pens}

I created this adoption wall art inspired by the book The Red Thread. We adopted our kids from South Korea and there is a proverb that says your heart is connect to your loved ones heart by an unbreakable red thread.

I love it for all things personalized!  It makes it easy to make gifts that look "hand made" and not "home made"!

Last day of school 2014

Today was the last day of school for my kids (not the baby, he's not in school yet!) :)

I thought it would be fun to take last day of school pictures to see how much they have changed.  And even though I knew they would look older it still surprised me!
Here is my oldest.  Just starting our elementary school journey.  We had his end or the year party and I couldn't stop crying.  Because, this year he went from looking like a "little boy" to "boy"- as in calling me "mom" now instead of "mommy"

And this little girl finished her first full year of Preschool.
She is turning into a little beauty.  And we found out, at her end of the year party, that all the boys at her preschool are in love with her... I mean- this is preschool - is that even supposed to happen?  Good thing this girl has 2 brothers!

Here are the teacher gifts I gave this year.  I kept it pretty simple.  I was able to get most of my supplies at the dollar store and use what I had on hand.
Each teacher got the following:
Water bottle with outdoor vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo
And a little snack

I was able to use the bottle as the wrapping and add a cute tag to it!

I cannot believe that the school year is done... bring on summer!

Super easy craft for you today for when your kids say "I'm booooooorrred!"  I did this with my kids when they were 3 and 5 and it went pretty well... I had to watch the 3 year old but over all I am happy with how it turned out.

Supplies needed: Jar, Mod Podge, Brush, Tissue paper cut in to small squares.
1. Apply an even layer of Mod Podge on the jar in small areas.
2. Place the tissue paper squares onto the Mod Podge overlapping them.
3. Repeat until the whole jar is covered
4. Apply Mod Podge evenly on top of the tissue to seal it.

Take the guess work out of new flooring!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tarkett NA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Since we moved into our home over 13 years ago I have wanted to redo the floors in our living room.  They are a honey colored hard wood floor.   Here is a current picture of our living room:
It's not terrible but I have always wanted to add a little bit of drama to it, ya know - really make it stand out!  But to take that big leap of faith to make a drastic change when you are not sure how it will turn out, it makes it hard to commit to something.

Tarkett takes the guess work out of flooring.  You can use a design palette that suits your style
My favorites were:

Using RoomVue (Tarkett's online room visualizer) I was able to pick out floor and see what it would look like in the room!
Here are couple drama options that I created for my living room.
I have always wanted to go dark with the flooring!

One of Tarkett's flooring options is FiberFloor.  FiberFloor is made up of woven fiberglass, foam, tough layers that are meant to stand up to the bumps and scratches your family can throw at it... Let me tell ya- with 3 kids, who are merciless when it comes to the floor, that sounds great to me! I cannot tell you how many scratches are in my hard wood floor!

They also have Luxury Tile floors that offer the ultimate style and performance.  They are also very durible to stand up to lots of wear-and-tear.  With lots of options to choose from and lots of different layouts,  You are sure to find the perfect flooring for your home!
