How to Make a Clothespin Bag in 15 minutes

When I got my new clothesline and suddenly had 4 lines instead of one, I needed more clothespins. Which means I needed a bigger bag for them. So I made this VERY simple, VERY easy bag with just a towel and a wire hanger. I did not spend a dime, I already had everything in my house, and I'm guessing you do too! And the best part is, this only took a few minutes. I think it took me longer to clear off my sewing table than to actually make this!


Materials:
Large hand towel (really, you can make this any size you want. I needed mine big enough to hold 200 clothes pins.)
Wire hanger (most dry cleaning places have these they give away for free - just go in and ask!)
Sewing machine or needle and thread


Directions:
1. Cut the seamed end off one end of your towel (this is optional, I thought it would be easier to sew this way).

2. Fold the corners down on the side you just cut the end off. Or one of the short sides. Pin together in the middle. Fold the bottom up so it's about in the center (or wherever you want it), pin the sides together so it looks like this:
3. Sew up the 3 seams you just pinned together (you might want to leave an inch or so open at the top of the corner fold to insert your hanger.)
4. If you want, you can flip this inside out to hide the seams. I didn't. Insert the hook of the hanger into the point at the top of your bag. I forgot to leave a space (oops!), but i just poked the hanger through the towel, and that worked just fine. I also had to bend the bottom of the hanger down a little bit to make it fit in the towel.

5. Fill the bottom part of the bag with clothespins, and you can hang this from your clothesline while you're hanging clothes, then it can come inside when you're done!
