Simply Right Infant Formula

This post brought to you by Simply Right Infant Formula. All opinions are 100% mine.

****My 2 kids were formula fed because we adopted them and got them when they were 9 months old.  I am not here to debate which is better formula fed or breast fed.  I believe that moms have the right to decide what is best for the their baby and family without us getting all judging!   I also know a lot of moms who have to supplement their breast milk with formula milk so their baby gets enough to eat.  ****

If you use formula you know that it is important to use a brand that has balanced nutrition so that your baby can have the best growth and development.  But you also know that formula can be very spendy!  Simply Right Infant Formula is the best of both worlds when it come to formula.  They are FDA approved and has DHA and ARA to support brain and eye development.  Be sure to visit Sam's Club Wesite and save on Simply Right Infant Formula— it is the same quality as National Brand Infant Formula like Similac and Enfamil.

But I am  most excited abut the easy to open, easy to use new design of their packaging!  Anything that makes it easier for me to make a bottle when your baby is crying for food is a good thing for me!

The baby stage is so sweet.  We adopted our first 2, and I got both of my kids when they were a little older (8 and 9 months) we missed out on some sweet newborn time with them.   But feeding time was always such a special bonding time with the kids.  I love snuggling with them!   Now that they are 5 and 2 1/2  that doesn't always happen!  With baby #3 on the way I am looking forward to that baby snuggle time!  What are some of your favorite mommy memories with your babies?

Love Tulips

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of iBulb for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Tulips are my favorite flower.  I love the simplicity of them!  Give me tulips over roses any day!   Tulips are easy to take care of and last up to a week!    That is my kind of flower!  So for Valentine's Day I would much rather get a bunch of tulips over any other flowers.  So this Valentine's day I challenge you to think outside the box and use cut tulips in you decor!   I did and i LOVE the results!

Here are my Love Tulips:

Here is what you will need:
Tulips - found at most grocery stores, garden centers and flower shops
Bud vases - I used small milk glasses
Etched Glass Vinyl and Red Vinyl (I buy my vinyl here)
Yarn or baker's twin

Here is how I put them together:
1. I cut out the letters L O V E out of my glass etched vinyl and placed them on my vases   This stuff is great!  It looks just like etched glass but it is vinyl- no mess and I can remove it if I want to later too!
2. I cut out some small hearts out of my red vinyl and put them around my letters
3. I wrapped around my yarn at the top of the vase and tied it off.
4. Filled with water and added my Tulips!

Here is a close up of the etched glass vinyl... it is very subtle... but that is what I like about it!

This is an easy to way to dress up a mantle or shelve for Valentine's day!  I love having fresh flowers around - especially since winter last so long here in Minnesota!

Here are some other easy ideas to use tulips in your decor:

Use 2 vases (a bigger and smaller one) place the smaller one inside the bigger one and put heart candies around it.  Then put the water and tulips in the smaller one!

Color the water with food coloring.

Use some pom-poms or lace trim to a decorative jar and add the tulips to it!

Vacation Momentos

We went to Charleston, South Carolina to visit my sister for Thanksgiving.  {I know- and I am just blogging about it now!  I am pregnant and things get behind around here... better late then never!}  Here we are on one of the islands in the harbor in front of the Copper River Bridge.

One of our favorite memories of the trip was going out on my Brother-in-law's boat on the ocean and seeing dolphins jump up out of the water right by the boat.  And we also stopped at one of the islands to find some shells, shark teeth and sea glass to take home as a tangle memory from our trip.  Our kids LOVED looking for treasures and would have filled 100 bags of shells if we would have let them... but we didn't we only filled one big gallon bag.

So when we got home I had all these shells that my kids were attached to.  I couldn't get rid of them so I decided to use some of my etched glass vinyl and a vase to save them as a memento of our trip.

I used my silhouette to cut out the letters SC and the year 2012 and used transfer paper to put them on the side of the vase.  Then I placed all our shells in the vase - easy-peasy!
{side note - you don't need a cutting machine to use the vinyl you can just cut out letters using scissors or an exacto-knife too!}

The etched glass vinyl is very subtle so it is kinda hard to see in the picture... I tried to get it to show up more.
The kids love seeing their treasures displayed and I like that it reminds of our trip!

How do you save memories from your vacations?
