Wantable.com review

Thank you to Wantable.com for sending me these items to review!  All opinion are 100% honest

I am so excited to introduce you to Wantable.com

Wantable.com is a new women’s fashion ecommerce company. They provide their customers with hand picked, curated, boutique makeup, accessories and intimates in a monthly subscription box at a great value.  They are a bit different than the others: our products are full size, and they work with brands like Coobie, Betsey Johnson, FACE Stockholm (sold at JCrew!), NCLA, Three Custom Color Specialists and more. Shipping is free for US customers and you can cancel, return, or skip anytime!

You take a short fashion survey to see what you love/like/dislike:
You are likely to get the things you love, and you never get the things you dislike.  The survey is pretty detailed (but does not take long).  I was able to choose what kind of finish - I love silver, dislike gold... so no gold jewelry that I wont wear gets sent to me!

I was able to review an Accessory box.  And I am going to tell you they were DEAD ON with my style... I love every single piece they sent me!
I wear the rings and sun glasses all the time... although the jury is out on if the sunglasses look better on me or the baby!
I know - the baby totally wins - right?!

They also have make-up and intimate boxes too!  Be sure to check out Wantable.com!
This would also make a great gift for someone!

Peanut Butter Banana Metabolism Boost Smoothie

I got a Magic Bullet for my birthday... so now I am on a smoothie kick!  I have found it to be a great way to start off my day healthy and it feels like a treat!  I shared my Berry Banana Brain Boost smoothie yesterday and today I am sharing my metabolism boosting smoothie.  No better way to start then to get your metabolism up for the day!

Kale, Greek Yogurt and Peanuts are 3 ingredients that help slim your waistline by boosting you metabolism!  So that is the base of this smoothie with only one more ingredient - Banana which also helps the metabolism but is also a great source of potassium (because I get horrible leg cramps!)  Plus the banana masks the taste of the kale.

You will need:
1 Banana
1 tablespoon Peanut Butter (mine is heaping!)
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 Baby Kale

Put all the ingredients into your smoothie maker or blender and blend until smooth.

Optional: Add ice to make it more of an Icey.

This also makes a great mid-day snack.

I love sneaking in my veggies into my smoothies.
I know I should be better about eating them and this is a great way to do it!

Fresh Bloom Frock Pattern

My husband was getting rid of some dress shirts. which is like free fabric!  So I made a dress for my daughter.

It is an intermediate pattern so I was a little nervous about using it but that collar to to die for so I went for it!  The pattern was great to work with and I am already working on a second Fresh Bloom Frock for a photo session of the kids!  There are step-by-step directions with pictures the whole way through and the pattern goes from 18m-8 so lots of sizes!

**I bought this pattern and I am NOT getting compensated for this post!  I just loved it and wanted to share!**

Berry Banana Brain Booster Smoothie

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Nestle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia  #BreakfastEssentials http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Who has mommy brain?  Who has kids that always answer "I don't know" when you ask them a question?  I have just the thing for you!   A great way to start your morning that will also give you and your kids a brain boost!

The Berry Banana Brain Booster smoothie has everything you need to start your day off right, including Carnation Breakfast Essentials (which you can pick up at Walmart - right by the oatmeal in the cereal isle) Breakfast Essentials has 21 vitamins and minerals that your body needs plus 13g of protein and calcium.

This smoothie is has Strawberries and Kale in it which are known to help your memory!  Boy- do I need all the help I can get!  Also the Kale and Banana help boost your metabolism too! -Bonus!

It is also great for the kids.  With all the vitamins and protein it is sure to help them focus at school and not be distracted by being hungry!  Smoothies are a great way to hide those leafy greens for your kids to eat.  My kids don't even know they are eating Kale when I give them their smoothies, they drink them up and don't know any better! 1 point for mommy!

Here is what you will need:
4-5 Large Strawberries
1/2 Banana
1/2 - 1 cup Kale
1 cup Milk
1 package French Vanilla Carnation Breakfast Essentials powder (use this coupon!)

Put everything in your smoothie maker or blender and blend until smooth.

Tip #1: Freeze your strawberries for more of an icy texture.

Tip #2: If you are going to put Kale in other smoothies be sure to add banana because the banana hides the bold kale taste.

I love starting my day off with a smoothie.  It is fast to make so much better then some packaged pastry!  The fresh fruits and veggies with the added protein and vitamins from the Carnaton Breakfast Essentials pack really give me the boost I need in the morning to face the day as a busy mom and blogger!  And my kids LOVE it too!  The baby always signs "more" when I have my smoothie out... I always have to share!

Get your own Carnation Breakfast Essentials at Walmart to make your own smoothies!  Use this coupon and save!  Check out more smoothie recipes HERE

Princess Party

We threw a princess party for my daughter's 4th birthday party! OhMyGoodness - it was so fun!  This is my first really girly party that I have planned and I had a hard time reigning it all in (pun intended!)

Here is what we did:

First off I made 8 of these Princess Aprons.  As the girls arrived to the party I let them pick an apron to wear during the party (This was also their party favor... I thought it would be better then candy or the cheap party favor toys)
I also had 3 Jr. High girl helpers.  I work with our youth group at our church and I know these girls from that.  They were amazing helpers!  The little girls looked up to them so much.  It was awesome to have the extra help during the party too.  I could be in the kitchen with the food and these girls were helping the little girls. This was by far the best idea I have had for a party!  (they each got a Princess Apron too!)

After we got our princess aprons on we did some princess training.  I broke it up into 2 sessions.  In the first session we:
Practiced our balance by walking with books on our heads
Curtsied to each other
Learned royal words like: Your Highness and Forsooth

In the second session we:
Practiced our princess wave
Blowing kissing
Princess twirling

After the first session of  princess training we did our craft: Make Your Own Princess Crown
I ordered these crowns and jewel stickers from Oriental Trading.
It was super easy... they just stuck the jewel stickers to the crowns.
After the craft we had our second training session.

After the second session of training we painted the girls nails.
The girls loved it!

Then it was time for a snack.
We had pink fruit and fishy crackers (in honor of Ariel) on princess plates.  For cake we had mini-cupcakes.   The mini-cupcakes were the prefect size for the 4 year old girls.

Next we had the gift opening.  As we open the gifts, I have each girl who gave the gift sit next to the birthday girl as she is opening it.  It keeps all the girls interested and it helps the birthday kid know who gave what to them!  I then take a picture of them and send it in the thank you card.

After the gift opening we had a dance party for the girls. It was the perfect way to wait for their parents to pick them up!   I just played Frozen radio station on itunes (similar to pandora but for apple).  It was so cute all the little girls singing "Let it Go" from the bottom of their hearts.
It was so fun and all the princesses had a grand time!
