You see, when we were little there were a couple rules on Christmas morning. If it were up to us kids, we would be opening presents at the crack of dawn, but my silly parents wanted to sleep until 7 AM... sleepy heads! So the first rule was that we could not wake them up until 7 AM and the second rule was we had to also start the coffee for them so they could have a cup when they woke up. So, my sister, two brothers and I would gather in one of our bedrooms and wait for the clock to say 7:00 and then we would go down and start the coffee and then wake up our parents.
Now that I am a parent, I see thier reasoning. Most Christmases we are up late from coming home from the grandparents and we are putting the finishing touches on our kids gifts and we get to bed late... we are tired and don't want to wake up too early! :)
