My son's "big boy" room is decorated with a travel theme... cars, trucks, plains, trains etc... I created this fun train wall art for it! I love the simpleness of it!
Here is what you will need:
12X12canvas from Canvas Crop
Paint from DecoArt
Adhesive Vinyl (I decided to go with red and not the yellow that is pictured here)
Silhouette (optional- but makes it WAY easier!)
Paint brushes
Sandpaper (not pictured)
1. Paint your canvases with a lighter color.
2. Paint over the lighter color with a darker color.
(This took 2 coats)
3. I used my Silhouette to cut out a cute train and some smoke. and I peeled and stuck to my canvases.
(You can cut out your shapes with a scissors or an exacto knife, if you do not have a Silhouette... or you could order vinyl too!)
4. Distress the edges with sandpaper (that is why we painted the lighter color first!)
Hang on the wall!

I love it. I want to create something like this, a continuous wall art for my living room but I don't have any idea yet. Great project.
