Christmas in July with Crystal's Craft Spot

Welcome to Christmas in July {now in August}! A fun Series to get us all inspired for my favorite holiday!
It is never too early to start planning for Christmas!
Today we have Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot.

Hi everyone I'm Crystal, from Crystal's Craft Spot.  I'm a stay at home mom of two adorable little girls.  When I'm not chasing them around or cleaning up one of the many messes they make, I sneak in to my craft room to create something.  I love everything from sewing, to wood, crocheting, and jewelry making and I share it all on my blog.
Flower Pot Snowman

I think he's pretty cute and this would be a really fun project to do with your kids.
I started with 3 flower pots (3 for $1 at the Dollar Store).  If they are plastic, sand them a bit so your paint has something to grab to.

Paint 2 white and 1 black

When you stack them the bottom one will be upside down, the middle right side up and top upside down.

On your middle pot paint on your face.  You can also use vinyl if you want.  On the bottom add paint on your buttons.  Stack and tie a scarf around your snowman.
He's finished and ready to be displayed.  It would also be really cute to put candy in the middle pot and use it as a candy dish.  Pull the hat off to reach the candy.  You can glue them together but I decided not to because this way I can just put the three pots together for easy storage.
Thanks for letting me join your Christmas in July Series.  I've been enjoying all of the post and its giving me lots of great ideas for Christmas.  Come visit my blog any time!

I love the idea of making snowmen from pots. Last year, I made Halloween figures from pots. I made a witch, vampire, ghost, mummy, scarecrow and frankenstein. Check it out
