Here is a repost of one of my FAVORITES tutorials! My Leg Warmers from an Old Sweater!
{To help give you motivation for the Iron Crafter- Secret Ingredient: Sweaters!}
I made these last year, and I am going to pull them out to wear again this year!

I made these leg warms from this old sweater! I already had the sweater, I was going to donate it but decided I needed some leg warmers. It was easy... I will show you how!

Here is what you will need:
An old sweater
Buttons
Sewing machine (with normal sewing stuff like thread, needles, scissors, etc..)
1.) take your sweater and cut off the sleeves and the bottom cuff of the sweater (is that what it is call... basically the bottom hem- I am going to call it a cuff)

2.) Cut off the tops of the sleeves to make it even across the top.

3.) Cut the cuff to match the top of the sleeves, It should go all the way around the top of the unfinished edge of the sleeve.

4.) Sew the cuff to make a tube or circle.

5.) put your cuff tube inside of your sleeve matching up the unfinished edges with the RIGHT side of the cuff facing the WRONG side of the sleeve.

6.) Sew around the top of the sleeve

7.) Flip your cuff up out of the sleeve. you should be seeing the WRONG side right now... that is OK!

8.) Flip the cuff down so that the RIGHT side is showing and covering up your seam.

9.) Sew a cute button on the side of the cuff.

10.) Rock your leg warmers like you are on Foot Loose! (please tell me that I am not the only one old enough to remember that movie!)
