How to make burlap flower headbands

Flower headbands are all the rage right now. I made mine with burlap (also all the rage right now) and silk flowers!

Here is what you will need:
Head bands (We found our 4 for $1 at the Dollar Tree)
Silk Flowers (Also available at the Dollar Tree)
Needle and Thread
Hot glue gun (not pictured)

Cut your ribbon to be 2-3 inches longer than your headband. Cut out flower shapes out your burlap and take apart your silk flowers to get rid of the plastic stuff.
Now get creative and mix and match your silk flowers with your burlap:
A row of flowers with button centers. (two burlap and on silk flower)

Just use burlap to make some cute flowers!
Layer your burlap and silk flowers

Find a cute butterfly and put it on alone!
Once your get your combo set, hand sew the flowers (and buttons) to the ribbon.
Have a friend come over and help! It is WAY more fun! This is my good friend Bee!

Now hot glue your ribbon to your headband. I first put a little hot glue on the headband...
and than put the ribbon on. I worked the glue in small sections. At the end wrap the ribbon around and glue it to the back side.
You can also use craft glue to attach some rhinestones to the ribbon, like I did on the butterfly ones.

Find a safe place for the glue to dry. A wipes box works great!

Ohhhhhhhh, so cute!

The burlap and butterflies are adorable. Even I could wear those ones!!! (I don't like huge flowery headbands, just small and simple)

What keeps the burlap from unraveling?
