Felt Play House Follow-up!

I got such great feedback about my felt play house! Thanks so much... I had fun making it and my son LOVES it... TOTALLY LOVES it!
Many of you said that you would like to make one, and that give me an idea! A Felt-Play-House-Along! We could all make play houses together! I can show you what I did and in 4 weeks our houses will be done! Is anyone interested in this? leave me a comment letting me know!

I'd be interested in giving this a go - especially with a little how-to guidance. In 4 wks that would be just in time for Easter too - what a great surprise:)

ABSOLUTELY! I was looking at this wishing I could figure out how to do it on my own but knowing I would never dare to try. Your guidance would be JUST what I need.

Im so glad I came across this post today, as I finish up my daughters wooden play kitchen my mind is trying to figure out whats next. Im so wanting to make one of these. If I could follow along that would be great. I can't commit to the four weeks, It will most likely take me a bit longer as Im recently heading back to work part time setting up my own parent tot programs. But like I said Im definitely following along if thats ok. I came across some great inspiration at http://www.etsy.com/shop/missprettypretty

I would love to participate in a felt along!! I've wanted to make to make one of these for awhile, but I've been a bit intimidated by it. This is just what I need to give it a try!

I would love to do it also. I am a beginner at sewing though. I have a machine and I am taking a class to really learn how to do it because teaching myself just didn't work out. Would you say this was a project a beginner could tackle?

I really want to! I need to make sure I can find the fabric somewhere here in tiny town first.

I also found these on etsy and was have been trying to find a card table on craigs list for cheap so that I could make one. I just might have to break down and just buy one from a big box store...hmmm

This has been on my to-do list ever since I first saw one. Having a group to do it with may actually make me get it done! I'm in!

OMG....have you been reading my mind? I just went to the store yesterday and bought felt yards to make play food with (I just discovered that they do in fact sell it by the yard...hello why didn't I notice before?!) And I thought to myself...oh ok. Find and buy a card table to make what that clever lady on etsy makes....I'M PUMPED!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chic Mommy said...

Ladies, I dont have a card table either...but as I looked on etsy one of the sellers who makes these houses said you could also use PVC pipe to make the frame...which would be more cost efficient and would travel well. Just think...pack it up easily and take it to grandmas for the weekend...or into the back yard. Just a thought if your were planning on spending big bucks for a table.

I love this too. I actually still have the one my mom made about 30 years ago! it is one of those things that is always exciting to pull out when my friends kids come over to play!

Yes, yes, yes! I'm picturing a little seaside cottage for my two-year-old niece Bella, who lives near me here on Cape Cod. (Wonder how this could be adapted to would work as a beach sun screen for families at the beach...) Avanti!

Is it possible to do this if you don't own a sewing machine?
