I got all my really cute fabric from Ruby Jane's Retro Fabric You can visit her blog here and her shop (to buy fabulous fabric) here!
It is getting to be that time of year again! You know, that time of year where you have to have a tissue with you where ever you go because you or someone you know has a cold. Never fear! Now you can pull out a tissue with style when you make your own cute travel tissue holder.
Here is what you will need:
4- 5X5 inch squares of coordinating fabric
Fusible interfacing
Sewing machine
Coordinating thread
1. Cut out 4 5X5 inch squares out of your interfacing.
2. Iron on the interfacing to the back side of each fabric square.
3. Iron 2 squares in half with the right side of the fabric facing out.
4. Place the folded pieces of fabric right next to each other and zig-zag stitch them together on the top and bottom. (NOT the whole way across!)
See the stitches just on the top and bottom? (click to enlarge the picture.)
8. Fill with tissue!
I think that this would make a really cute gift for a teacher! They are always around sniffley children!
Be sure to check out Ruby Jane's Retro Fabric for more fabulous fabrics!
