How to Make a Magnet bookmark

Here is a great gift for the book lover in your family! A magnet bookmark! I am including pictures of our son (because it makes it extra special!) It makes a great add-on to a book to make a cute gift set and helps personalize it too!

Materials:
Paper
Scissors
Strong Glue
Scoring tool (I use a ruler and a skewer)
Photos (optional)
Markers
Junk magnet
Clear packaging tape

1.) Cut out a strip of paper. (Mine is 3X12)

2.) Score where you want the fold to be (mine is about 2 inches from the top)
3.) Cut your magnet in half and check to make sure that they stick to each other

4.) Attach your pictures or embellishments to your paper, and write a little message!

5.) Using clear packaging tape laminate the book mark. I put the tape on both sides. I also have extra hanging off the sides. For mine it took a couple of strips across. I also overlap the seams.

6.)Cut off the extra tape around the edges (it is hard to see in the picture but next to the bookmark is the extra tape I cut off)

7.) Using strong glue, glue on one half of your magnet to the top on the backside.

8.) fold over and make a small mark to know where to put your other half of the magnet.

9.) Glue the other half of the magnet a little bit above the mark you made, making sure to line it up to the first magnet.

10.) Test it out in a book!

Really fun! My son would love something like this. He is my little reader and always gets excited about bookmarks. Thanks for the link!
